Governance & Organizational Structure

At Taranga Mohila Kallyan Sangstha (TMKS), our governance and management systems are designed to ensure accountability, transparency, and effective leadership. This enables us to responsibly manage donor resources, deliver quality programs, and create sustainable impact.

General Committee (GC): A 41-member body serving as the highest decision-making authority. It provides strategic direction, approves major policies, and safeguards the organization’s mission and vision.

Executive Committee (EC): A 9-member committee, elected every two years, that meets quarterly to approve annual plans and budgets, review progress, and ensure financial and program accountability. The Executive Director also serves as General Secretary of the EC, providing direct alignment between governance and management.

Executive Director (ED): As Chief Executive, the ED provides overall leadership and ensures the implementation of strategies and policies approved by the GC and EC.

Deputy Executive Director (DED): The DED plays a vital bridging role between the Board and management, supporting the ED in day-to-day operations, institutional strengthening, and cross-department coordination.

Core Management Team (CMT): Led by the ED and DED, the CMT provides programmatic direction, financial oversight, and operational management. It includes the Head of Finance & Administration and all Program Heads, each of whom leads a specific program component (e.g., Rights & Governance, Livelihood Development, Community Enterprise, Education, Legal Aid, etc.).

This structure ensures that each program is professionally managed by a dedicated lead, while financial accountability and strategic oversight remain firmly in place. The model combines strong governance, executive leadership, and program-level expertise, making TMKS a reliable and results-driven partner for donors.
